SIX WEEKS OF SCHOOL LEFT.......

Can you believe only 6 weeks of school left. Time has flown by. We have lots of things planned for the summer. We would like to have a cookout at my house on May 29, 2010. Then Camp on June 27, 2010. I want to encourage you to continue coming on Wednesday night after Awana ends. Thanks and I look forward to seeing you at youth.

Back from Hazleton Pa.

Last week I had the opportunity to go with four youth and two leaders to Hazleton Pa.. We had the opportunity to go house to house and witness for five hours a day for four days. We were doing surveys, asking several questions from what radio station do you listen to to what do you think it takes for a person to go to heaven. The question about going to heaven brought about several different answers. We were able to also do a small amount of construction such as build a set of steps for a older couple, insulate pipes under a mobile home and even cut holes in a sheet rock wall to install two projectors in a church. we stayed busy all week and were tired when we left.
But the question I have is What do you think it takes for a person to go to heaven?

My son Chris is getting married Saturday March 27, 2010 to Miss Kristi Baker. Chris and Kristi met in France last year on a mission trip.
It is amazing how Teresa and I have been praying for our children since they were around ten years old for God to put the spouse that he would have them marry in their lives. Chris is now twenty nine and God has allowed him to meet Kristi Baker. She is a Godly young lady from Jacksonville Florida. Even before we met her we knew that she was the one that God has chosen for Chris to marry. We are truly blessed to have Kristi to become part of our family. It is so awesome to serve a God that answers prayers and gives you the desires of your heart. I ask you to continue to pray for Chris and Kristi as they start their new life. We continue to pray for Mary Beth as she follows God and grows as she continues to serve Him.
Florida here we come.

Poor Man's Dinner on Saturday afternoon March 20th 6:30pm

On Saturday afternoon March 20th at 6:30 there will be a poor man's dinner with pintos, cooked cabbage, stewed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, slaw, ham and cornbread. This will benefit the Hazelton Pa. mission trip. Pleas pray for the ones that will be going to Hazelton Pa. as they continue to raise money for this event. If you would be interested in becoming a prayer partner with them as they are preparing to go, please let me know.

Summer Camp in Folly Beach South Carolina June 27th thru July 2, 2010

Summer camp will be June 27 th thur July 2, 2010. The cost will be $150.00 for early registration and $200.00 after April 25, 2010. You can hold a spot by putting down a $25.00 deposit. I should have more information on Wednesday night.

Wednesday night we will be looking at Joseph and Potiphar's wife Tackling Temptation (Genesis 39). Come join the high school youth as we talk about different issues that face teenagers and adults in our normal life.

YOUTH CAMP IN JUNE

Youth Camp will be June 25-July 2, 2010 at Folly Beach South Carolina.
So clear your Calander. Cost will be $150 for early registeration ($50) before April 18th and $175 for registeration after April 18th. There are 25 spaces availible. See Larry for more details

On February 19-20, 2010 at Waxhaw Bible church Planet Wisdom will be presenting the Last 14 Hours of Christ Life. On Friday the 19th the group Atlantic will be in concert.
